Voith Unveils Cutting-Edge Pluralis Hot Stock (HS) Refiner Fillings
In a pioneering move, Voith introduces the latest addition to its esteemed Pluralis family – the innovative Pluralis Hot Stock (HS) refiner fillings. Engineered as a breakthrough in refining technology, these fillings are purpose-built to meet the rigorous demands of modern pulp mills, while simultaneously minimizing resource consumption. Boasting the capability to significantly enhance paper quality, energy efficiency, and overall pulp mill performance, the Pluralis HS refiner fillings are poised to redefine industry standards.
Elias Fleschhut, the Global Product Manager at Voith Paper, highlights the impressive features of the new Pluralis Hot Stock refiner fillings, emphasizing, “The Pluralis HS fillings combine the high efficiency of the leading Pluralis technology with exceptional shive reduction, yielding an impressive reduction rate of 75 to 90 percent. This translates to heightened fiber yield and reduced energy consumption, marking a significant advancement in the industry.”
Crafted for durability and maximum production efficiency, the utilization of the STT alloy endows the fillings with heightened abrasion resistance and an extended service life, even in the demanding conditions of a pulp mill operating at temperatures surpassing 90 °C, and under high throughput demands. The non-parallel orientation of the bars ensures optimal fiber treatment, as their edges intersect at an ideal angle, effectively processing the maximum percentage of fibers. Specially tailored for high kappa pulps, this design not only guarantees the highest production throughput but also ensures substantial shive reduction while extending the operational lifespan of the fillings.
Versatility lies at the core of the Pluralis HS refiner fillings, as they can be seamlessly integrated into Voith refiners, as well as those from other leading manufacturers, accommodating diameters ranging from 20 to 54 inches.
