Toscotec Secures Contract to Enhance Drying Section at Panda Paper Mills in Israel
Panda Paper Mills (1997), a prominent subsidiary of the leading Israeli manufacturing powerhouse, Sano Enterprises, has recently chosen Toscotec to oversee a comprehensive overhaul of the drying section on their PM1 at the Netanya production facility in Israel. PM1 specializes in producing top-tier tissue products crafted from recycled fibers, primarily catering to the Away from Home market. The scheduled upgrade, slated for the latter half of 2024, is expected to significantly bolster the machine’s drying capacity.
Toscotec’s scope of work encompasses the supply of a cutting-edge TT SYD Steel Yankee Dryer, an entire steam and condensate removal system, and high-efficiency TT Hoods. The service package includes engineering, supervision during erection, training, commissioning, and start-up assistance. The anticipated benefits of the new dryer section include a marked reduction in PM1’s energy consumption and a notable surge in production efficiency.
Eliran Elbaz, Vice President of the Paper & Complementary Products Division at Sano Bruno’s Enterprises, expresses, “The state-of-the-art technology from Toscotec will enable us to elevate the standards of our paper products portfolio. Their value addition holds the key to meeting the demands of our esteemed customer base, and we are committed to continuously investing and striving toward this goal.”
Fabio Bargiacchi, Sales Manager at Toscotec, adds, “We are delighted to collaborate with the Sano Group on this significant technological enhancement. The combined advantages of the TT SYD and TT Hood are poised to yield a substantial increase in PM1’s energy efficiency, ensuring reductions in thermal energy consumption, along with an expansion in capacity.”
